About the Eco Stay & Experience
Welcome to our quiet 1885 home, built with stone, mud wood and a lot of heart. Tucked away in a village near Dharamshala, this is where time softens, breaths deepen and the little things become everything. Mornings unfold slowly, golden and unhurried.
Evenings are for garden conversations, meals made with homegrown love, and skies dusted with stars. Whether you're here to work, create, rest, or simply wander, our place gives you the space to do it your way no rush, no rules, just the gentle rhythm of a life lived intentionally.
We’ve kept things simple: warm rooms, fresh mountain air, good coffee, and the deep comfort of feeling truly at home. But simplicity doesn’t mean compromise. This is sustainability redefined not as a trend, but as a way of being.
The vegetables come from our garden, the energy from the sun, the warmth from the hearth not just to lessen our footprint, but to leave the land richer than we found it. It’s not just heritage; It’s heritage reimagined with care, luxury, and a deep respect for the past. Come, be part of this story.
Let our Home be your Home where history meets comfort and every moment feels like a cherished memory

Meet your Localdost - Chandan & Arpit
It started in a remote village, where a group of friends spent six months living under one roof. The shared time revealed something they had each sensed on years of travels but never said aloud: India's old homes were quietly disappearing and someone needed to do something about it. Stone, mud, wood, history. These homes were more than architecture. They were memory made physical and they were being lost. Chandan and team got together to restore forgotten heritage homes with care and authenticity, working alongside local artisans to honour the craft and culture each one carries. Every project is a tribute. Every restored home, a story saved.

Green Environment & Biodiversity Conservation
Our relationship with the land is an endless, circular conversation. We cultivate an environment that respects the delicate balance of Padar, ensuring that our presence here treads lightly on the earth and preserves the untouched beauty of the region for future generations.
Air & Water Quality
In Padar, the mountain air is crisp, pure, and life-giving, and we work hard to keep it that way. We invite you to experience the warmth of our traditional *hammam*. Using this time-honored method for water heating grounds your daily rituals in the ancestral wisdom of the region and reflects a mindful approach to conserving our precious water sources.

Temperature & Energy Management
By generating over 25% of our electricity from off-grid, renewable sources, we ensure that our modern comforts tread lightly on the earth. This allows you to breathe in the untainted Himalayan breeze without the heavy carbon footprint of traditional hospitality.
Travel & Transportation
While we are a sanctuary in Padar, we believe the journey should be as gentle on the earth as the destination. We encourage mindful travel to reach us, ensuring that the tranquility of the mountains is preserved from unnecessary traffic, noise, and pollution.
Food & Guest Experience
More than just a retreat, our Home is a keeper of memories. We keep the ancient spirit of Himachal alive through traditional storytelling. As evening falls, we gather to share the folklore and legends of our land, weaving a rich tapestry of history that comforts the spirit and deeply nourishes the soul.
